Timber Shores is located right in the center of all the activity on Castle Rock Lake. Here you can enjoy easy access to a variety of activities right outside your door, including Northern Bay Golf Resort, Buckhorn State Park, and a nice selection of lakeside restaurants and bars. If you are in need of more extensive services, or just want to explore the local area, here are a few of the towns that you will encounter in the surrounding area:

Adams-Friendship (7 miles from Timber Shores)
Just to the east of Timber Shores are the quaint towns of Adams and Friendship. Here you will find basic shopping for your day to day necessities, including groceries, gas, and home/auto repair. In addition, there are banks, churches and a hospital, should you need these services.

Rome (22 miles from Timber Shores)
The town of Rome with its surrounding area is rich in recreational opportunities and natural beauty. Home to "The Lakes" of Arrowhead, Camelot, Petenwell and Sherwood, this community's pride is in the many recreational opportunities that it offers visitors. Whether you want to swim, sail, waterski or fish, the lakes offer the perfect location. If ATV riding, motocross or snowmobiling are what intrigues you, spend a day at the Dyracuse Recreational Area, where you will find 240 acres with motocross and ATV tracks and 10 miles of ATV trails to explore! Or if you're up for the challenge of championship golf, schedule a tee time at one of Lake Arrowhead's 2 challenging courses.

Wisconsin Dells (30 miles from Timber Shores)
This is a great family fun destination! Check out the variety of over 100 attractions. From miniature golf, water parks, dinner theatres, waterski shows and the original Wisconsin Ducks®, there is something here for every member of your family. Don't forget to visit the local shops and candy stores to discover local treasures and pick out a souvenir!

Wisconsin Rapids (35 miles from Timber Shores)
Just a short drive north of Timber Shores is the city of Wisconsin Rapids. With the Wisconsin River running right through the middle of town, Wisconsin Rapids provides visitors with a unique blend of outdoor activities, including biking and hiking trails, fishing, golfing, boating or exploring one of the many parks.
