Naterra Land In Action
“This place has so much to offer. Majestic views, a quiet lake, world class golf, world
class skiing in winter, hiking trails, biking trails-the entire setting is turned down a
notch. And that’s what we really like. Everything turned down a notch.”
-Dave Schusterich, Voyageurs Retreat
“We looked for land for 15 years before we came across Naterra Land. Most of the
realtors we dealt with were pushy. They pushed their inventory hard. When we met
Tim, (Naterra Land Specialist) he didn’t push, he listened. He wanted to make sure
the land was what we wanted more than to make a sale. He just wanted to know
what we wanted.”
-Maria Gilbertson, Fools Lake
“Naterra Land left everything untouched. The entire project was done with a
conservation bend to it. We didn’t recognize that in the beginning, but we really
appreciate it now.”
-Stu Opfer, Lake Petenwell
“My whole family, we feel healthier here. It sounds cliché, but I don’t know how else
to put it. You just feel this awe for it. Especially the large amount of water, the
beautiful forest. You get to relax a lot easier.”
-Yosef Lifshits, Lake Petenwell
"We recently reviewed a development proposal that included very poor attention to
wetlands, as such many local residents were opposed to it. The developer was more
interested in “ramming” the project through than considering environmental and
social impact. The county denied the project. Shortly thereafter Naterra Land
proposed a subdivision on a different parcel. Residents immediately could see the
attention to the environment and in the presentation to the Township. The proposal
was approved with no indication of opposition."
-Catherine McLynn
Dist. 2 Commissioner Itasca County
“Companies like Naterra can have a great impact, and what I’m seeing so far is
positive. Research shows that conservation design has benefits all the way around.
By steering development back toward stewardship, everyone wins.”
-Russ Schultz, Minnesota DNR Waters
