The Local Area
The Town of Rome and Adams County offer something for everyone. There are two championship golf courses in the township which were originally in Golf Digest's "Top 100 Courses You Can Play" list. These courses are in beautiful condition. Additionally, Northern Bay Golf Resort, a new "replica" golf course, recently opened down the road, featuring exact replicas of some of America's top golf holes. Many restaurants are nearby, some featuring lakeside dining on beautiful Lake Petenwell. Plenty of public forests are in the area for hiking, bird watching, and hunting. An ATV and off-road motorcycle course is owned by the town and open on weekends for a small fee.
