Where is Wears Valley located?

Wears Valley is located on Hwy. 321 approximately halfway between Pigeon Forge and Townsend. Our Smoky Mountain property showroom is in the heart of the valley next to the BP gas station. Wears Valley is a beautiful area with Smoky Mountains all around. We are close enough to get to everything but far enough away from the hustle-and-bustle to truly enjoy the peacefulness that only these beautiful mountains can offer. View Area Map >

How far are you from the entrance to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park?

There is an unmarked entrance about 2 miles from The Homestead showroom. Two of the parks three main entrances are also nearby in Townsend on TN-73 and in Gatlinburg on US-441. View Area Map >

How far are you located from an international airport?

The McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville is about 20 miles from The Homestead's Westside entrance. A small local airport is also located in Sevierville, about 15 minutes from our office. View Area Map >

What is the driving distance to the nearest interstate?

We have three major interstate systems within a 35-mile radius of The Homestead (I-75, I-81 and I-40). Our convenient location is less than a day's driving distance from 72% of the US population.

Where are the medical facilities?

Blount County Memorial Hospital, located in Maryville is 15 miles from The Homestead's Westside entrance. You'll also find convenient access to Fort Sanders Regional Hospital in Sevierville, 15 miles from The Homestead.

Where can we go fishing?

You can fish in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park just a few short miles from our office. The park boasts 2,115 miles of streams within its borders open for fishing. There are also several lakes for boating in the area. More area activities >

What schools are near the community?

Wearwood School (K-8), is located in Wears Valley. The Pigeon Forge School system is also located within 7 miles of the community. Blount County Schools also serve some of the community; Walland Elementary (K-5) is 6.5 miles from our Westside entrance, and Heritage High School (Grades 5-12) is 10 miles from our Westside entrance.

Where would we shop, buy groceries and do our banking?

Only a short distance to Pigeon Forge is one of the largest outlet shopping areas in East Tennessee. Pigeon Forge, Townsend and Maryville have shopping, many restaurants and grocery stores. Tennessee State Bank is located less than one mile from our office, and other national and local banks are located in Townsend, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Gatlinburg.

What kind of entertainment is close by?

Dollywood, which is the largest attraction in Tennessee, is located in Pigeon Forge. We also have 17 music theatres in the area. Ripley's Aquarium is located in Gatlinburg. There are arcades, go-cart tracks, miniature golf, movie theatres and many other games and activities located throughout the area.
