As you start your land search, begin by asking yourself the following questions to guide your search.
What are you going to use your property for?
The first and most important step when searching for land is to write down what you’re looking for and then prioritizing each item to make finding your land a far more enjoyable process. Key characteristics that you should consider include:
- Size
- Site Type: Lakefront property, Near water, Woodland, Mountain Property
- View from the site
- Intended Use
- Investment
- Travel distance to property
Do you want to buy and build or do you want to purchase an existing home?
It’s hard to find your “dream” if someone else has already created it. If you truly want your dream to come true, consider purchasing land over buying an existing vacation home or residence.
